Guardiola is unhappy despite City's victory

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed his dissatisfaction with his team's performance despite their 2-0 victory over Salford City in the fourth round of the FA Cup . Speaking to the BBC, Guardiola said , " They defended very well, they were compact, and we didn't attack the spaces the way we should have." He added, "The game was flat until we scored the second goal. Until 2-0, the game wasn't good." The Spanish coach pointed out that the scoreline doesn't always reflect the quality of the performance, saying, "You can go 1-0 up and play brilliantly. Sometimes you win 3-0 and the game isn't good." Guardiola continued, "Marc Guehi's second goal came at the right time. It's been a tough three weeks with a busy schedule and lots of games. Today was the last game before a short break." The first goal came after a mistake by Salford defender Alfie Durrington in the sixth minute, while Guehi added his first goal for Manchester City in the 81st minute to seal the win . This win gives City a chance for a short break before the league and cup competitions resume, while the focus remains on improving performance rather than just results.
