Marseille oust De Zerbi after heavy 5-0 defeat against Paris
Olympique de Marseille officially announced the departure of their Italian coach, Roberto De Zerbi, after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. The French club did not reveal the identity of De Zerbi's successor. The decision to leave came after Marseille's heavy 5-0 defeat in Le Classique against Paris Saint-Germain, the Italian coach's final match in charge. De Zerbi, 46, had been at the helm of Marseille since the start of last season, leading the team in 69 matches across all competitions, achieving 39 wins, 22 losses, and 8 draws. The Italian coach successfully guided Marseille to Champions League qualification last season, but the team was eliminated from the competition this season and currently sits fourth in the French league standings with 39 points, 12 points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
