Carrick praises his players' character despite the disappointing draw

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick admitted his frustration after his side's 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium in the 26th round of the Premier League. Benjamin Sissoko scored a stoppage-time equalizer to salvage a valuable point for United after Tomas Soucek had given West Ham the lead in the first half. While the draw extended Carrick's unbeaten run to five matches, it denied United a fifth consecutive victory. "We're a bit disappointed," Carrick said after the game. "We've played well over the last five games, but we lacked the sharpness and the finishing touch to find the net." He added, "West Ham made it difficult for us, and they deserve credit. On the other hand, I have to give credit to the players for coming back and scoring a late equalizer, which is a positive sign of character. We'll take this point and move on."
