Benzema: Al-Hilal is a great club and is similar to Real Madrid
French striker Karim Benzema, who recently joined Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, affirmed that his new club holds a prominent position in Asia, comparing it to Real Madrid in terms of history, mentality, and victories. Benzema joined Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad and arrived in Riyadh to participate in his first training session with the team, in preparation for upcoming matches. Speaking via Al-Hilal's official account, Benzema said, "I have very positive feelings. I'm happy to be here after my first training session. I've met the players and the coaching staff, and I'm delighted to be part of this team." He added, "Al-Hilal is a great club with a rich history, having won numerous championships. Everything here is fantastic, from the team to the fans." The French star continued, "The team plays exceptional football, boasts fantastic players, a strong mentality, and an excellent work system. That's why I've admired Al-Hilal for some time now, and for me, it's like Real Madrid in Asia." The French striker explained that he had previously faced Al-Hilal while playing for Real Madrid, emphasizing that the match was not easy. He said, "I played against them before with Real Madrid, and it was a tough and enjoyable game. I have good memories of it, and today I am happy to represent Al-Hilal." Benzema addressed Al-Hilal fans, saying, "You know my mentality very well. I am highly motivated, and I will give my all on the pitch. My goal is to help the team win championships because winning titles is very important to me."
