Barcelona are close to finalizing the signing of Al Ahly's young striker Hamza Abdel Karim in the coming days, marking a new development in the player's transfer saga.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, confirmed that negotiations between Barcelona and Al Ahly have resumed after a hiatus of several weeks, indicating that the deal is nearing completion and the player is expected to join the Catalan club.
The Catalan newspaper Sport had previously reported that the deal encountered complications after appearing almost finalized, with a lull in activity as Abdel Karim continued to play for Al Ahly in the Egyptian League Cup.
