Al-Hilal seeks to achieve a historic achievement for Saudi clubs in the Club World Cup
The Saudi Al-Hilal Club aspires to achieve the best achievement for Saudi clubs in the history of its participation in the Club World Cup, when faces its Egyptian counterpart Al-Ahly FC on Saturday, in the match for third place during the current edition hosted by the UAE.
Al-Hilal lost the semi-finals of the Club World Cup to its English counterpart, Chelsea, with a clean goal, while the Brazilian Palmeiras beat Al-Ahly by a clean double in the same role.
The Saudi Al-Hilal, nicknamed: Al Zaeem (The Boss) seeks to achieve third place in the World Cup, which will be the best achievement for Saudi clubs throughout the history of their participation in the tournament, which began in 2000. Al-Hilal achieved fourth place in its first participation in the Club World Cup in 2019 in Qatar after losing to Monterrey of Mexico on penalties, which is the best achievement for Saudi clubs, equal with Al-Ittihad in 2005.
