Al Sadd is monitoring the Algerian defender at the CAN.

Qatari club Al Sadd is monitoring Algerian defender Samir Cherki, who currently plays for Paris FC in France. Despite being with the Algerian national team at the Africa Cup of Nations, Cherki missed recent matches due to injury. Al Sadd, currently fourth in the Qatari league, is showing strong interest in acquiring the 26-year-old, who is versatile and can play at right-back or center-back. Al Sadd is managed by Italian coach Roberto Mancini, who recently strengthened the squad with the additions of Roberto Firmino, Romain Saïss, Mohamed Camara, and Youcef Atal. Samir Cherki is a key player for his current club, and his performances are being closely followed by several clubs looking to bolster their defenses.
