New regulatory controls to be implemented in the Qatar League
The Qatar Stars League (QSL) held its technical meeting for the second half of the 2025-2026 Qatari football season at its headquarters in Aspire Zone. The meeting was attended by QSL officials, representatives from the Referees Department, and representatives from the league's clubs. The meeting began with a welcoming address from the Director of Competitions, who praised the existing cooperation between the QSL, the clubs, and all relevant parties, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to ensure the success of the upcoming phase of the competition. The meeting reviewed several organizational aspects related to matchday operations, stressing the need to adhere to the designated arrival times at the stadiums and to wear the official kit for each team, both home and away. The Referees Department representative also emphasized the importance of full cooperation with the refereeing teams and respect for their decisions on the field. In an effort to minimize time-wasting and enhance the efficiency of the game, a procedure was confirmed requiring any player receiving medical treatment on the field to leave for one minute before being allowed to return to play.
