Al-Ahly punishes its players after early exit from the cup
The management of Al Ahly SC has taken a firm decision to impose disciplinary sanctions on the first-team players following their unexpected defeat against Telecom Egypt, which resulted in their early exit from the Egypt Cup in the Round of 32. This outcome sparked considerable discontent within the club. Walid Salah El-Din, the team's director of football, in coordination with Sayed Abdel-Hafiz, a board member and the general supervisor of the football sector, decided to impose a financial penalty on the players, in accordance with the club's disciplinary regulations. Al Ahly was eliminated from the Egypt Cup after losing 2-1 in a match that ended 1-1 in regulation time, before Telecom Egypt secured the victory with a winning goal in extra time. The penalty will be applied to all players who participated in the match without exception, as part of the club's policy of reward and punishment, aimed at enforcing discipline and holding players accountable for poor results.
