Haaland reveals the behind-the-scenes story of Real Madrid's defeat

Norwegian star Erling Haaland, the Manchester City striker, expressed his immense joy at his team's 2-1 victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu in the sixth round of the Champions League group stage. Speaking after the match, Haaland said, "This win is very important. It's difficult to come here; it's a tough place to be. We could have added another goal, but the game was a bit chaotic." He added, "In the end, we're very happy. It's a beautiful place to play. Look at this place; it's incredible. These are the kinds of games we want to play. In this format, we get more matches, which is good, and I love it." The Norwegian striker continued, "We have two games left. We need to finish them strongly, and God willing, we'll be among the top eight to go directly to the knockout stages." He explained, "We had some great battles with Rüdiger, but he did too much in the match. He pulled me, so for me, it was a clear penalty." Regarding closing the gap with Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, Haaland commented: "I don't like to talk about it too much because we need to focus on ourselves, and that's what City have excelled at over the last 10 years." He concluded: "Just focus on winning our next game, against Palace on Sunday, which is a very difficult match. We have to take it one game at a time."
