A scathing attack from a Liverpool legend on Salah

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has launched a scathing attack on Egyptian star Mohamed Salah following the player's controversial comments about manager Arne Slott after being benched for the third consecutive Premier League match. Salah had expressed his frustration at not being given a starting place, stating that the situation was becoming increasingly frustrating. This prompted a wave of reactions, most notably from Carragher, who didn't hesitate to strongly criticize the Egyptian star. Carragher said: "Mohamed Salah wasn't a global superstar before joining Liverpool, and he hasn't won anything with the Egyptian national team. No matter how talented you are, you always need the support of the manager, your teammates, and the fans. He needs to remember that." The former Reds defender added that the problem lies in Salah's self-centeredness, explaining: "It always seems like 'me, me, me.' And that's not healthy in any top team." Carragher strongly criticized Salah's public statements, deeming the timing and manner deliberate: "I think what he did was disgraceful. What he said in the mixed zone seemed like it was all planned with his agent, designed to put as much pressure as possible on the manager. He chose this particular week, this specific time, to attack Slot and put him in a difficult position." In closing, Carragher emphasized that Salah's actions could increase tension within the team at a crucial point in the season, especially given Liverpool's need for both tactical and psychological stability to maintain their title aspirations.
