Al-Ahly star arrested in London!

The British newspaper The Sun reported that English footballer Ivan Toni, a striker for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli Jeddah, was arrested in central London in the early hours of Saturday, December 6. According to the report, the Al-Ahli striker was involved in a fight inside a bar in the Soho area, where photos were taken of him being escorted out in handcuffs. Eyewitnesses explained that the altercation began when a fan tried to put his arm around Toni's neck to take a selfie with him. One passerby told the newspaper: "Tony was walking past a table where a group of young men were sitting, and one of them recognized him and tried to get too close to take a picture. Toni said, 'Get away from me,' and then headbutted one of them." Reports indicate that the alleged victim suffered a broken nose and ring finger, and bloodstains were visible in photos taken after the incident. The London Ambulance Service stated that they treated three people at the scene; one was taken to the hospital, while the other two were released after being assessed. Police confirmed they received a report of an assault on Saturday morning, and subsequently arrested 29-year-old Tony on suspicion of involvement in two assaults and an altercation. He was later released on bail.
