Senegal players promised hefty reward of $ 60,000 for each player if they lift AFCON title

The Senegalese Football Association (SFA) have promised Senegal national team players hefty rewards if they manage to lift the AFCON title and beat Egypt in the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations  (AFCON). 

Media reports confirmed that the SFA promised "the Lions of Teranga" players a financial reward of $60,000 for each player, equals 33 million African francs in the Senegalese currency, if they overcame  difficult obstacles on their way to the final and beat
Egypt.

Senegal are set to face Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final on Sunday, which will see Liverpool superstars Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah face off against each other.

The Senegalese team enters the encounter with the aim of deciding the title against Egypt, in the match scheduled for this evening. Senegal are playing in their third Africa Cup of Nations final (runners-up in 2002 and 2019), while the Lions of Teranga are the first side to play in consecutive finals in the competition since opponents Egypt in 2010.
