Al-Hilal makes a move to sign Inter Milan's defensive rock

Media reports indicate that Francesco Acerbi's time at Inter Milan is nearing its end as the club looks to rebuild its defense. The Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported that Inter is preparing for a new phase, and the veteran defender appears poised for a fresh start under a familiar coach, Simone Inzaghi. This coincides with a report in the Italian newspaper Sport Mediaset about Al-Hilal's interest in signing the 37-year-old Acerbi, reportedly at the direct request of Inzaghi, the current Al-Hilal coach, with whom he previously worked at Lazio and then Inter. The reports suggest that Inzaghi sees Acerbi as a leader capable of strengthening Al-Hilal's defense and adding significant experience to the squad by supporting young players and partnering with Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly in a strong and experienced defensive midfield position. She also explained that Al-Hilal, as one of the richest clubs in the world, would have no difficulty in making an attractive offer to the player at the end of his career, with a contract that could be the biggest in his career before retirement, at a time when Inter Milan does not object to his departure, leaving the final decision in the hands of the player himself.
