The UAE withdraws its bid to host the 2031 Asian Cup

The UAE Football Association officially announced via its X platform account that it has withdrawn its bid to host the 2031 AFC Asian Cup, leaving six bids to host the continent's premier national team tournament. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) had invited all member associations on November 27th to express their interest in hosting the next edition of the continental championship before the deadline of March 31, 2025. The AFC received official responses from the football associations of Australia, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Kuwait, and the UAE regarding hosting the 2031 Asian Cup, in addition to a joint bid from the football associations of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, before the UAE withdrew its application.
