Barcelona are monitoring Santos' Brazilian full-back

According to press reports, FC Barcelona is planning to submit an offer between €12 and €15 million to sign young Brazilian left-back João Victor Souza (19 years old) from Santos. The Catalan club intends to send a representative to Brazil to meet with the player, aiming to bolster their options at left-back and provide competition for Alejandro Baldé . Souza has impressed with Santos this season, making 26 appearances, scoring one goal and providing two assists, earning praise from the team's coaching staff. His performances have also caught the eye of the Brazilian national team, with assistants to coach Carlo Ancelotti reportedly watching some of his matches while monitoring Neymar and expressing their admiration for the youngster's abilities . Souza has been with Santos since the under-11 level and represented Brazil at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup. His contract with the club runs until 2028, and his agent, Giuliano Bertolocchi, is currently in Europe to finalize negotiations .
