Al-Nassr equals Al-Hilal's historic record

Al-Nassr secured their ninth consecutive victory in the Saudi Professional League (SPL), defeating Al-Khaleej 4-1 in the ninth round of matches. This win equals the record held by their arch-rivals, Al-Hilal, for the best start to a season in the league's history . Al-Hilal achieved nine consecutive wins from the first round under the leadership of Jorge Jesus in the 2018-2019 season, and the same coach is now leading Al-Nassr to replicate this historic feat . In their first eight matches of the current season, Al-Nassr defeated Al-Taawoun, Al-Kholoud, Al-Riyadh, Al-Ittihad, Al-Fateh, Al-Hazm, Al-Fayha, and Neom, respectively. With the addition of Al-Khaleej to their list of victims, the league leaders have now matched Al-Hilal's record. This victory keeps Al-Nassr at the top of the league table with 27 points, four points ahead of Al-Hilal, while Al-Khaleej remains in sixth place with 16 points.
