CAF announces the final list of the best in Africa

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced, via its X platform, the final shortlist for the 2025 African Player of the Year award, which includes Liverpool's Egyptian star Mohamed Salah among the three finalists for the continent's most prestigious award. Salah's selection comes after an outstanding season with his club, allowing him to continue his pursuit of the award he has previously won. The shortlist also features Morocco's Achraf Hakimi, the Paris Saint-Germain full-back, and Nigeria's Victor Osimhen, the Galatasaray striker.
