Lille is pursuing its fans with legal action!

French club Lille has announced it is taking legal action against several of its fans after they were involved in racist behavior and hate speech during two away matches against Red Star Belgrade and Strasbourg. In an official statement, the club explained that "the unacceptable behavior observed, and the racist comments made by some individuals, are completely contrary to the values that Lille stands for and promotes." This stance follows the circulation of videos on social media showing some fans chanting racist slogans during the team's losses to Strasbourg in Ligue 1 and Red Star in the Europa League. Lille confirmed it has begun the process of identifying those involved in order to file formal complaints against them, emphasizing that it "will pursue legal action against anyone found to be involved to ensure appropriate sanctions are imposed and to protect the club's image."
