The Saudi national team begins its Jeddah training camp in preparation for the Arab Cup
The Saudi national football team players will begin their training camp in Jeddah on Sunday afternoon, November 9th, which will run until November 18th. This camp is part of their preparations for the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar, scheduled to begin in early December. This camp is a crucial step in their preparation program, aimed at enhancing their technical and physical readiness before the Arab tournament. The coaching staff intends to assess the readiness of the selected players through two challenging friendly matches. The Saudi team will play their first friendly against Ivory Coast on Friday, November 14th, at Al-Inma Stadium, before concluding the camp against Algeria on Tuesday, November 18th, at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah. The team will begin their training on Sunday evening with a session at the King Abdullah Sports City training ground, which will be closed to the media to allow the coaching staff to implement their tactical plans away from media pressure. The national team's head coach named a 27-man squad, blending experience and youth: Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi, Mohammed Al-Yami, Raghed Najjar, Mutaib Al-Harbi, Jihad Zikri, Abdulilah Al-Amri, Waleed Al-Ahmad, Hassan Al-Tambakti, Ali Majrashi, Saud Abdulhamid, Nawaf Boushal, Mohammed Sulaiman, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Murad Hawsawi, Ziyad Al-Juhani, Mohammed Kanno, Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Salem Al-Dawsari, Musab Al-Juwair, Sultan Mandash, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat, Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Saleh Al-Shehri, and Firas Al-Buraikan. The Saudi national team is in Group B of the Arab Cup, alongside Morocco, the winner of the Oman-Somalia match, and the winner of the Comoros-Yemen match, in what is described as a tough and challenging group. The technical staff of the "Green" team seeks to make the most of the Jeddah camp to assess the players' levels before entering the tournament atmosphere, especially since the team aspires to repeat its distinguished presence in the previous edition and compete for the Arab title this year.
