Sadio Mane's record-equalling caps 3-1 win strike sends Senegal into AFCON final

Senegalese international star and Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane became Senegal's joint-highest international goal scorer to lead his country to a 3-1 win over Burkina Faso in the semi-finals of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations. Senegal qualified for the African Nations Cup final for the second time in a row, after winning on Wednesday night against Burkina Faso 3-1 in the semi-finals of the tournament currently being held in Cameroon. According to the global network "Opta", which specializes in player numbers and statistics, Sadio Mane has contributed the most goals in the African Nations Cup, since his first appearance in the tournament in 2015, where he contributed 11 goals, scored 8 goals and assisted 3.
Sadio Mane managed to win the Man of the Match award, after scoring and assisting a goal, in the three goals scored by the Teranga Lions. Mane lifted in Senegal's third goal on 87 minutes, after being played in by Watford's Ismaila Sarr, to take his tally to 29 goals for his country, matching former Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Henri Camara.
Mane also assisted their second goal, scored by ex-Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye, before Blati Toure pulled a goal back for Burkina Faso, for whom Aston Villa winger Bertrand Traore impressed. The Senegalese team is waiting for the winner of the match between Egypt and Cameroon in the other semi-final, in order to achieve the title, which it lost in the last tournament in Egypt in 2019 against Algeria.
