Real Madrid honors Jota with a humane gesture

A delegation from Real Madrid visited the memorial erected in honor of the late Portuguese player Diogo Jota, the former Liverpool star, ahead of the two teams' Champions League match. Jota tragically died along with his brother André Silva in a car accident that occurred before the start of pre-season training. Liverpool FC erected a memorial to the player outside Anfield Stadium to honor his career and contributions to the club. The Real Madrid delegation included board member Emilio Butragueño, manager Xabi Alonso, and teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Howen. Alexander-Arnold played alongside Jota for several years at Liverpool, and the two shared a close friendship. During the visit, Alexander-Arnold left a PlayStation controller as a memento for his late friend, along with a touching farewell message. This visit comes within the framework of the friendly relations between the two clubs, on the sidelines of the anticipated match between Real Madrid and Liverpool on Tuesday evening at Anfield Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Champions League.
