Xabi Alonso is "frustrated"!

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso considered his team's resounding 4-0 victory over Valencia a well-deserved reward for their outstanding collective performance, noting that the win was made all the more valuable by the variety of players who found the net. Alonso said, "We played a complete game in terms of movement, possession, and pressing after losing the ball, and I'm very happy with the commitment and team spirit I saw on the pitch." He added, "What impressed me most was the positive energy and sacrifices everyone made. Every player put the team's interests above all else, and when we lost possession, we played with clear harmony, which is what we always strive for." In the post-match press conference, the Real Madrid coach praised his French star Kylian Mbappé, explaining, "Mbappé scored two goals, which is an excellent tally that confirms his readiness to compete for titles. His relationship with Vinicius is also fantastic and reflects the special spirit within the team." Regarding Vinicius Junior's missed penalty before halftime, Alonso commented: "It was a frustrating moment because it could have made it 3-0, but we made up for it with Bellingham's goal later on. Mbappe is our first-choice penalty taker, but on the pitch, some decisions are made collectively among the players." The Basque coach emphasized that he sees no problem with this understanding between the players, saying: "What matters to me is that we score penalties. Today we missed one, but Kylian is still our primary penalty taker." On Vinicius's performance, he explained: "He played a fantastic match and contributed a lot to the attack." Speaking about Bellingham, Alonso said: "We're always looking for the best positions for Jude to be most effective, and the position he scored from today was ideal for him." As for the team's decision not to train at Anfield before facing Liverpool in the Champions League, he clarified: "It was a personal decision. We prefer to prepare in Madrid in our own environment, away from the numerous cameras, to be more focused before the match."
