Manchester United player Greenwood released on bail in "girlfriend assault" case

The 20-year-old forward, who had been in custody since being arrested on Sunday, has been “released today Wednesday on bail pending further investigation,” Greater Manchester Police said.
Greenwood girlfriend Harriet Robson has she posted many photos through her account on Instagram showing the effects of the physical abuse she was subjected to, including bleeding. Severe lip and several bruises on her face and body, which she was subjected to at the hands of the star of the Red Devils.
Manchester Police confirmed that Mason Greenwood, 20-year-old, had been released after being arrested on suspicion of raping and assaulting a woman. He has been released on bail pending further investigations.

Greenwood's friend posted a video, on the social networking site Instagram, in which she condemned the player for being raped and violent, saying: "For everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood did."
Manchester United decided to exclude the player from the team's group training a few hours before his arrest, in compliance with the accusations facing the player. The company responsible for the FIFA game announced that it had raised the name of the player and a number of other games against the background of the accusations he is being subjected to during the current period.
This comes at a time when the American clothing company sponsoring the player has suspended any contracts, stressing in a statement that it is closely following the case, especially with regard to the assault on his girlfriend.
