Barcelona star buys Pique and Shakira's mansion

According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Barcelona and Spain's young star Lamine Yamal is close to finalizing the purchase of one of the most luxurious properties in Esplugues de Llobregat, near Barcelona. The property is located in an upscale neighborhood known for its high level of privacy and is home to many of the Catalan club's top stars. The newspaper reported that the 18-year-old is nearing the acquisition of the mansion previously occupied by the famous couple Gerard Piqué and Shakira, noting that the property's estimated value is around €14 million. The mansion is situated within the prestigious Ciutat Diagonal residential complex, one of Barcelona's most exclusive and tranquil neighborhoods, home to a select group of sports and entertainment figures. The property boasts a high level of privacy and security and is adjacent to the homes of several current Barcelona stars, such as Alejandro Baldé and Ronald Araujo. The mansion comprises three residential units spread across 3,800 square meters and includes indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fully equipped fitness center, and several other luxurious amenities. The newspaper revealed that Yamal plans to settle in the main house and transform it into a high-performance residential center for professional players. He intends to equip it with a private training room and dedicated areas for hosting friends and family, along with a permanent fitness coach and physiotherapist. Marca added that this move represents a new chapter in the life of Lamine Yamal, who, despite suffering some injuries and fluctuating form in the 2025-2026 season, seeks to solidify his position as a key player and influential figure within both FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
