New shock for Guardiola!

Manchester City's injury crisis worsened after youngster Nico Gonzalez suffered a right leg injury, forcing him to leave the field early during the second half of the Champions League match against Villarreal. Gonzalez's injury is a major blow for manager Pep Guardiola, as the Spaniard was a key replacement for his compatriot Rodri, who is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury. Rodri suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury last season, which kept him out of the team for a long period. Mateo Kovacic came on in the 56th minute to replace Gonzalez, despite the Croatian having only recently returned from injury, heightening concerns within City's coaching staff about the lack of options in midfield in the coming period.
