Barcelona sets a record in winter transfers window 

Spain FC Barcelona succeeded in strengthening its squad during the winter transfer market, which was closed on Monday, by signing 4 players, in order to save its disastrous season. During which Barca was bid farewell to the European Champions League from the group stage, in addition to bidding farewell to the King’s Cup from the round of 16 and losing the Spanish Super. During this winter Mercato, Barcelona signed Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan from Arsenal,  Veteran Brazilian right back Dani Alves in a free transfer deal, Ferran Torres from Manchester City, and Adama Traore loaned from Wolverhampton team. Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish English nationwide daily sports newspaper reported that Barcelona signed 4 deals during the current winter Mercato, for the first time in its history, as it is the largest number that it includes during the January transfer period. The newspaper added that the previous record for Barca in the winter transfer market was in January 2019, when the trio included Kevin Prince Boateng, Jason Murillo and Todibo. Ferran Torres is the most expensive deal for Barcelona during the winter transfers, worth 55 million euros. Barcelona is fifth in the Spanish league standings this season, with 35 points from 21 games, while Real Madrid leads with 50 points.
