Abu Jabal suffers from connective muscle, injuries end Hijazi's journey in AFCON 

In preparation for Cameroon encounter, the Egyptian team witnessed group training, next Thursday evening, in the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup (AFCON). The training attended by all players, except for Ahmed Hijazi, after x-rays proved that he had a rupture of the connective muscle tendons that requires treatment in a specialized center, which means that he will not be able to complete the tournament that wraps-up next Sunday. 
Egypt’s goalkeeper, Mohamed Abu Gabal, confirmed will join the group training of the Pharaohs starting today, Tuesday, in preparation for facing Cameroon in the African Nations Cup. Hijazi was injured during the Egypt - Morocco match, in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup, and he was unable to complete the match. Abu Jabal was injured in the connective muscle during his participation in the Morocco match, and he left injured in the last minutes of the original time of the confrontation, and Mohamed Sobhi replaced him. Mohamed Abu Jabal participated in the morning hospital exercises, after the x-rays performed confirmed that he had strained the connective muscle, and he exempted from the evening training, while  Mohamed Al-Shennawi still undergoing a rehabilitation and treatment program
