Mohamed Salah chooses his football role model

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool player, revealed his football idol, the difficulties he faced during his career, and the reason for his enduring love for the game. In an interview published by Liverpool's official account on the "X" platform, Salah answered a series of questions directed at him by two girls from the club's youth team, and said: "Ronaldo the phenomenon is my idol." He added about his beginnings: "When I was young, I used to play with my friends in the street for fun, and I told my father that I wanted to play football, and he supported me in every way possible." Regarding the difficulties, Salah indicated that he used to travel daily to Cairo for training, about four and a half hours each way, and was often not included in the starting lineup. However, he emphasized: "My father was always supportive and encouraging, and he always told me, 'Just try, and you'll see that the effort will pay off in the end.'" He added about how he deals with bad matches: "I usually play with my kids after the match, and I try to completely disconnect from the world and never use my phone. When you mature a little, you realize that these things are part of football and part of life as well." Salah concluded his statements by emphasizing the reason for his love for football: "I still love playing football. I love being at matches, doing what I love, and seeing people happy when we win. I don't take anything for granted, and I remind myself every day where I came from and who I am now."
