When will Neymar return to the pitch?

Santos president Marcelo Teixeira has confirmed that Brazilian star Neymar, who is currently injured in his thigh, will not be able to return to action before November. This is according to estimates from the club's medical staff, who have estimated the rehabilitation period to be around six weeks since he sustained the injury in mid-month during training. Neymar is expected to join Santos in the latter stages of the Brazilian league, which concludes on December 6 and 7, as the team seeks to remain in the first division and avoid relegation. Since returning to Santos at the beginning of this year after a short stint in the Saudi league, Neymar has suffered from recurring injuries, limiting his regular participation. He has made only 21 appearances and scored six goals. The recurring injuries have also led to his absence from the Brazilian national team since October 2023 after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in a match against Uruguay. Following Santos' 2-2 draw with Bragantino, the team's points tally has risen to 27, five points above the relegation zone.
