Temba Report: Morocco wins first playoff game in 18 years, set the table for a run at AFCON title

The Moroccan team, which qualified for the quarter-finals of the CAN, after beating Malawi with two goals, is waiting for the winner of today's match between Egypt and Côte d'Ivoire, scheduled at 19:00 p.m., Wednesday, Doha time, in the round of 16 of the African Nations Championship. The Atlas Lions managed to snatch the qualification for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals, after an exciting and difficult victory over their counterpart Malawi with two goals against a goal, in the match that was held between them yesterday evening, at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium  in Yaoundé,  in the round of 16 competitions. From the 16 round of AFCON, currently held in Cameroon, until February 6 next. The Moroccan team has missed winning the play-offs for 18 years and has been determined since the victory over Mali in the 2004 edition that was held in Tunisia. 
The Atlas Lions managed to turn the tables with a fantastic win over their their Malawian counterpart, turning their goal back into an exciting 2-1 victory in the 16th round of the African Nations Cup.
