Xavi is a candidate to correct Manchester's path

Media reports have revealed that Manchester United have begun studying options to take over the first-team coaching position, in anticipation of a decision to make a change at the technical level. According to El Nacional newspaper, Xavi Hernandez, the former Barcelona coach, has emerged as one of the most prominent candidates to take over the Red Devils' coaching position, should the club decide to terminate the contract of current coach Ruben Amorim. The report indicated that Xavi, who left Barcelona in the summer of 2024 after a period marked by inconsistent results and internal tensions with the club's management, remains highly regarded in European circles for his possession-based approach and development of young talent. His experience in managing stars in the dressing room, along with his deep understanding of modern football tactics, enhances his chances as a suitable choice to rebuild a clear technical identity for Manchester United. The Portuguese coach is facing increasing pressure as the team's results continue to decline and fail to meet expectations, both domestically and in Europe. This is despite the reputation he gained with Sporting Lisbon, where he led the team to the league title and ended the dominance of Benfica and Porto. Meanwhile, Manchester United's management is closely monitoring the situation and is considering signing a big name to restore confidence in the club's sporting project. Indications suggest that Xavi may be the most likely successor to Amorim if the team's results do not improve in the coming period.
