A serious injury spoils Barcelona's Celebration

Despite a convincing 3-0 victory over Getafe in the fifth round of the Spanish League, concern hung over the Barcelona camp after the injury of young star player Fermín López, who limped off with a muscle injury that could keep him out for the foreseeable future. Fermín came on as a second-half substitute at the Johan Cruyff Arena, where the Catalan team continued to chase Real Madrid at the top of the table thanks to goals from Ferran Torres and Dani Olmo. However, the joy of victory was short-lived when the young player was seen lying on the pitch after the final whistle, touching the back of his left leg, a scene that raised concerns within the coaching staff and fans alike. The team doctor performed an initial examination on the pitch, during which Fermín appeared to be in pain, despite nodding his head to reassure the staff. After struggling to get up, he headed straight to the dressing room accompanied by coach Hansi Flick, who seemed deeply moved by the sight. In turn, Flick commented after the match, saying: "This is an unexpected setback in what was otherwise a perfect evening for the team. We will wait until Monday to fully assess the situation after undergoing the necessary medical tests." It is worth noting that this is not the 21-year-old's first injury, as he has previously suffered similar muscular problems, particularly in the pelvic area and rectus femoris muscle.
