Ronaldo ignites the all-time top scorer race in the Roshn League

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr striker, continued his strong performances in the Saudi Roshen League, leading his team to a resounding victory over Al-Riyadh, scoring two goals in the match that took place on Saturday evening at Al-Oula Park Stadium, in the third round of the current season. Ronaldo scored the third and fifth goals for Al-Nassr, bringing his tally this season to three goals in the league, after opening his scoring account against Al-Taawoun in the first round. With these two goals, the "Don" has scored 77 goals in the Roshen League since joining Al-Nassr in early 2023 in just 80 matches, surpassing the Brazilian Romarinho, the former Al-Ittihad striker, who had 76 goals. With this, the Portuguese star climbed to seventh place on the list of the all-time top scorers in the Saudi Professional League. Ronaldo is currently closing in on Saudi star Salem Al-Dawsari, the Al-Hilal winger, who occupies sixth place with 80 goals, putting "Don" only three goals away from overtaking him. Omar Al Somah, the current Al Hazm striker, leads the league's all-time top scorers list since its inception in the 2008-2009 season, with 155 goals, followed by Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah, the Al Shabab striker, with 150 goals.
