Paris Saint-Germain starts their Champions League campaign with a four-goal victory

Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their Champions League campaign with a resounding 4-0 win over Atalanta at the Parc des Princes in the first round of group matches . The French side's goals came early, as Brazilian defender Marquinhos opened the scoring in the third minute after a brilliant pass from Fabian Ruiz. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added the second goal in the 39th minute after a superb run through the Atalanta defense . Paris tried to extend their lead before the end of the first half, when they were awarded a penalty kick that was saved by Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesheki. At the start of the second half, Nuno Mendes scored the third goal in the 51st minute after a pass from Barcola, before Gonzalo Ramos completed the rout in the first minute of stoppage time . With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed a strong start to their Champions League campaign, with clear control of the match against sporadic attempts from Atalanta, to no avail.
