Ronaldo shocks Al-Nassr in Asia... Why?

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Al Nassr's upcoming match in the AFC Champions League 2 opener against Tajik club Istiklol on Wednesday. This was decided by coach Jorge Jesus, who granted the Portuguese star a pre-arranged rest since the start of the season. Despite his absence, reports indicate that Ronaldo is not suffering from any injury, and that the coaching staff's plan is to rest him for a number of continental matches, with a focus on his participation in local competitions. This comes after Al Nassr failed to qualify for the AFC Champions League, leaving them to participate in the second edition of the tournament. Al Nassr, for its part, started the new season strongly, defeating Al Taawoun 5-0 and then defeating Al Kholood 2-0, to top the Saudi League with a perfect score. With the new signings and the abundance of attacking options, the team, led by Jesus, aspires to compete for titles this season, both locally and continentally.
