Ancelotti sets a condition for returning to clubs

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti ended his second spell with Real Madrid last June, immediately after which the appointment of Xabi Alonso as the club's new coach was announced, while Ancelotti officially took over as coach of the Brazilian national team. This is the first time in Ancelotti's career that he has led a national team, having previously preferred to lead his country, Italy. With Brazil already qualified for the next World Cup, Ancelotti is looking forward to leading the "Samba" to their first title in the tournament since 2002. Despite his openness to continuing with Brazil, Ancelotti revealed in another interview with the French newspaper L'Equipe that the only club he would consider coaching after his time with the Brazilian national team is Real Madrid. He said, "Real Madrid is the only team I would accept to coach after Brazil." Ancelotti returned to discuss his final season with "Meringue," describing it as "complicated" due to the recurring injuries that plagued the defense and affected the team's balance. "We didn't achieve what we had hoped for. We suffered a lot of injuries in defense, and it was difficult to build a cohesive team and support the attack as we should," he explained. "We lost important players like Militao, Rudiger, David Alaba, Mendy, and Carvajal. In some matches, we only had two real defenders, one of them being Raúl Asensio, a recent arrival from the academy, although he performed well."
