Casemiro is close to saying goodbye to Manchester United

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro's future with Manchester United remains shrouded in mystery, with Flamengo and Palmeiras reportedly interested in his services. The 33-year-old's contract with the Red Devils runs until the summer of 2026, meaning he will become a free agent after the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicolas, Casemiro's imminent departure from Manchester United seems "almost impossible," given his high annual salary of around €11 million. However, numerous reports indicate that this season could be his last in England before a potential return to South America. Sources indicate that Flamengo and Palmeiras are considering signing the veteran player, while São Paulo could play a decisive role in the deal, given Casemiro's strong relationship with the club where he grew up and began his professional career. On the other hand, Saudi league clubs remain a viable option, especially since clubs like Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr are capable of offering lucrative financial offers that exceed his current salary in Manchester. However, Casemiro's desire to finish his football career in his home country may tip the scales toward a return to Brazil, especially given his advanced age.
