Record deals in the Premier League summer market

This summer's Premier League transfer window saw record-breaking deals, led by the £125 million move of Swedish striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United to Liverpool. This brought Liverpool's total spending during the transfer window to over £400 million, which also included the £100 million signing of German Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. Other club signings included Manchester City's £26 million signing of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain, while Manchester United signed Slovenian striker Benjamin Šiško from RB Leipzig for £73 million. Arsenal bolstered their squad with Swedish striker Victor Ukeres from Sporting Lisbon for £64 million, while Argentinian Alejandro Garnacho moved from Manchester United to Chelsea for £40 million. Newcastle United signed German striker Nick Voltmadade from Stuttgart for £69 million, while Tottenham signed Dutch midfielder Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig for £51 million.
