Son reaches agreement with his new team

Former Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min has reached an agreement in principle to join American club Los Angeles FC, beginning a new experience after ten years with the London club. British website "TalkSport" revealed that Son will move to Los Angeles on a free transfer, without disclosing the details of the contract. This move comes after Son announced, at a press conference held in Seoul on the sidelines of his former club's pre-season tour of Asia, that he has decided to end his career with Tottenham, which began when he was 23 and will end at 33. The move to the American League represents a new step in the player's career, as he seeks to settle down in the United States, in light of his preparations for participating with the South Korean national team in the upcoming World Cup, scheduled to be held on American soil next summer. The 1-1 draw with Newcastle on the Asian tour was Son's last appearance in a Tottenham shirt, marking his farewell to the Spurs fans after a full decade of service.
