Messi was forced to leave the field after just 11 minutes, sparking concerns among fans about his health. Inter Miami explained in an official statement that the player underwent medical tests to assess the muscle pain he felt during the match. The statement read: "Messi underwent medical tests to assess the extent of the muscle pain he suffered during the Leagues Cup match against Necaxa, which forced him to leave the field." The club added: "The results confirmed that he has a minor muscle injury in his right leg. His medical clearance to return to play will depend on the development of his condition and his response to treatment." It is noteworthy that Lionel Messi has played 31 matches for Inter Miami this season, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists, confirming his significant impact on the team since joining.
