Messi tops a distinguished scoring list

In a world of star-studded football with a variety of tactical plans, consistency remains the most difficult quality to achieve. While many strikers appear for a season or two and then disappear, exceptional players remain the ones who quietly maintain their level year after year. Since the beginning of the new millennium, a group of stars has emerged who have made scoring 10 or more goals in each season in the major European leagues a constant in their football careers, placing them among the legends. At the top of the list of players who have scored the most 10 or more goals in different seasons in the five major European leagues since 2000 is Argentine star Lionel Messi. The veteran star has scored 10 or more goals in 16 seasons, for a total of 496 goals in the major European leagues. He is closely followed by Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who achieved the same number of seasons (16) but scored only 495 goals, coming in second place, one goal behind the Argentine star. Messi spent 15 seasons with Barcelona and one with Paris Saint-Germain, while Ronaldo spent his seasons with Manchester United (4 seasons), Real Madrid (9 seasons), and Juventus (3 seasons). Polish striker Robert Lewandowski came in third place with 14 seasons in which he scored over 10 goals, scoring 381 goals in the top five leagues. Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic came in fourth place with the same number of seasons (14), but only scored 302 goals.
