Barcelona star achieves 200,000 followers!

Pedro Rodriguez, better known as "Drew," the Spanish midfielder of Filipino descent, quickly grabbed the spotlight after making his first appearance for Barcelona's first team in preparation for the 2025-26 season, capturing the attention of Blaugrana fans across social media in less than 48 hours. Drew scored a remarkable goal in the second half of a friendly against Vissel Kobe, marking his official debut under German coach Hansi Flick, who continues to highlight the talents of the La Masia academy, having given opportunities to four new faces during the summer of 2024 who subsequently excelled throughout the season. Drew's impressive performances have helped his Instagram following soar to 200,000 in record time, with expectations of a significant increase if he continues to shine in upcoming friendlies. Barcelona will play three upcoming friendly matches, starting with a match against South Korea's FC Seoul on Thursday, followed by a match against Daegu on Monday, August 4, before concluding its preparations with a match against Italy's Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Sunday, August 10. Barcelona fans are eagerly awaiting Drew's continued brilliance, as he is increasingly being talked about as one of Catalonia's most promising young talents.
