Teddy Ouko's agent threatens and challenges Zamalek

Controversy continues over the failure of Teddy Ouko's transfer to Egyptian club Zamalek, despite reports that a final agreement has been reached between the parties involved. In the first official comment, Marios Habyambere, the player's agent, denied reports from Zamalek officials regarding his client signing a contract to join the Whites, stressing that what happened was nothing more than a "tripartite agreement that has not yet reached the official signing stage." In media statements, Marios Habyambere explained: "No binding contract has been signed. What happened is a preliminary agreement conditional on several necessary steps that must first be fulfilled, including terminating the player's contract with Swiss club Lucerne and signing a new official employment contract with Zamalek." He added: "Passing the medical examination does not mean the deal is complete. There are still technical and administrative steps that must be completed, most notably entering data into FIFA's TMS system and registering the player with the relevant local association." He pointed out that the medical examination is the only procedure that has been completed so far and does not constitute an official commitment from either party. Regarding Zamalek's legal position, the agent said, "If Zamalek is confident that it has a legally binding contract, we invite it to submit it to the Egyptian or International Federations. The club cannot simply demand that a player be forced to join without completing all the necessary legal procedures." He concluded his statement by emphasizing that Teddy Oko has not signed with any other club yet and is still officially a player with Swiss club FC Luzern.
