Moroccan Fatima... Yamal's grandmother steals the spotlight in Barcelona

In a touching celebratory atmosphere, young star Lamine Yamal renewed his contract with FC Barcelona until 2031. The ceremony took place at the Spotify Camp Nou offices, in the presence of his entire family, most notably his paternal grandmother, the Moroccan Fatima, whom he loves and respects greatly. This time, Yamal made sure to walk hand in hand with his grandmother into the club's offices, affirming to the media: "I owe her everything, and I can never repay her for what she has given me." The official ceremony, which combined family and sporting aspects, was attended by club president Joan Laporta, his vice president Rafa Yuste, and sporting director Deco, in addition to several members of the club's administrative and technical staff, representing the "football family" to which Yamal has belonged since he was seven years old. The signing ceremony witnessed special moments for Yamal's family, as his parents, Mounir Nasraoui and Sheila Ibana, were present, along with his relatives, friends, and his famous agent, Jorge Mendes. The player received overwhelming support from everyone, in what was described as an "unforgettable moment" for the family. Lamine participated in the morning training session at the sports city, on the third day of preparation for the new season, before heading to the official signing ceremony in the evening, where dozens of fans gathered outside the offices to take photos with him. Lamine's grandmother, Fatima, arrived in Spain in 1990 from Morocco and worked temporary jobs to secure a future for her five children. She played a pivotal role in raising Yamal, especially during his parents' separation. The player returned the favor by buying her a house of her own, in gratitude for her great contribution to his life.
