On Ronaldo's recommendation, Al-Nassr targets Liverpool star

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has entered the ongoing negotiations within the Saudi club Al-Nassr, asking the club's management to sign Colombian winger Luis Diaz, the Liverpool player, during the current summer transfer window. Diaz is one of the most prominent names in the transfer market this summer, given his desire to leave the Reds for a new experience, at a time when the English club is showing flexibility, provided the price is right. According to the Catalan newspaper "Sport", Liverpool has set a price of €100 million to release the Colombian star. This is considered a major obstacle for European clubs such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich, who have expressed interest in the player without being able to meet the Reds' financial demands. Barcelona, which is Diaz's preferred destination, according to sources close to the player, currently does not have the financial capacity to submit an official offer. Bayern, on the other hand, attempted to negotiate with an initial offer estimated at £60 million, but Liverpool raised its demand to €100 million, halting negotiations with the Bavarian club. In light of these developments, Al-Nassr has emerged as the only option capable of meeting the required amount. The Saudi club has intensified its efforts to sign Diaz, especially after Cristiano Ronaldo gave the club the green light to proceed with the deal. Reports indicate that Ronaldo, who recently renewed his contract with Al-Nassr and has clearly influenced the club's decisions, is keen to sign Diaz as an attacking winger who can be relied upon to create play. Diaz, along with Brazilian full-back Ayrton Lucas, are among the most prominent candidates to bolster the team's ranks next season. The presence of a number of Colombian players in Saudi clubs may also help convince Diaz to move, without jeopardizing his international future, especially with the 2026 World Cup approaching.
