Overlapping dates of AFCON and the Club World Cup are chasing Egypt - Al Ahly SC

The Chairman of Al-Ahly's board of directors Mahmoud al-Khatib said that Al-Ahly is seeking to compete for the title of the Club World Cup, adding that the team is facing a problem due to the overlapping dates of the African Nations Cup and the Club World Cup. 
 
Mahmoud al-Khatib stressed that the priority is given to the Egyptian team participating in the Total African Nations Championship. 
In this regard, Al-Khatib reaffirmed that Egypt is first, explaining that another crisis facing Al-Ahly, before its expected participation in the Club World Cup , saying that the prolong period of absence of Al-Ahly international players from the team due to their presence in the AFCON Championship. 

Al-Khatib explained that the club's coach, Pitso Mosimane, will not have enough time to convey his technical vision and tactics to international players before their expected participation in the Club World Cup.
