Al-Ahly begins negotiations with Messi!

French press reports revealed that Saudi club Al-Ahli Jeddah has entered into official negotiations with Argentine star Lionel Messi, in preparation for signing him immediately after his contract with the American club Inter Miami ends in December 2025. According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, the Al-Ahli management is making strenuous efforts to convince Messi to join the "classic" team during the upcoming winter transfer window, taking advantage of the end of his contract with the American team after two years in the American Professional League. The newspaper indicated that the negotiations are still in their early stages, and that the financial details of the offer have not yet been disclosed, but the Saudi club is ready to make a huge offer to complete the deal, in light of a clear desire to include the player who won the 2022 World Cup. Saudi Arabia had tried to attract Messi in the summer of 2023 after the end of his journey with Paris Saint-Germain, but the player preferred to try a new experience in the United States. L'Equipe concluded its report by stressing that Inter Miami will do everything in its power to retain Messi, especially given the popularity and success he has achieved with the team since his arrival, while Al Ahly will continue its efforts in the coming weeks to secure the historic deal.
