Record-breaking season... Paris makes history

Paris Saint-Germain, led by coach Luis Enrique, is enjoying an exceptional season after winning the historic treble, and has continued its strong performances in the 2025 Club World Cup. The Parisian team achieved a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the match that took place on Saturday evening, booking a ticket to the semi-finals of the tournament held in the United States of America and setting up a fiery date with Real Madrid of Spain. With this victory, the French capital club reached its 47th victory in the 2024-2025 season, equaling the record set in the 2015-2016 season, proving once again that it is experiencing one of its best seasons ever. This is also the fifth consecutive qualification for the Parisian team to the semi-finals of a major international tournament, and the tenth in its history, making it the most qualified by a French club on the continental and international stage. Paris Saint-Germain also demonstrated its remarkable defensive strength. In the quarterfinal match against Bayern Munich, Luis Enrique's men recorded their sixth clean sheet in their last seven matches, with only Botafogo scoring against them. Offensively, Paris continues their impressive performance, scoring 164 goals in the 2024-25 season, the second-highest total in the club's history, after the 2017-2018 season, in which the team scored 171 goals.
