For the fifth time... the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia!

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced the dates for the new season of the Spanish Super Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia for the fifth consecutive season, from January 7 to 11. Four clubs will participate in the tournament: Barcelona, who won the Spanish League and King's Cup titles last season, in addition to Real Madrid, the runner-up in both competitions, and Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, who finished third and fourth in the league. The two semi-final matches of the Spanish Super Cup will be determined by a draw to be held at a later date. It is worth noting that Barcelona won the Spanish Super Cup title in the last edition after defeating Real Madrid 5-2 at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The RFEF also announced that the 2025-2026 La Liga season will kick off on August 16 and conclude on May 24, 2026, while the Copa del Rey final will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
